APIDA COMMUNITY HEALTH-CBO was established in 2012, it is a grassroots Kenyan non- profit community based organization that provides healthcare, education and community development. We are seeking to improve healthcare infrastructure and healthcare delivery for the Community of Apida in Homa-Bay County, Kenya. We strive to address the unique development challenges inherent to the Lake region communities. APIDA CBO is based on sustainable, informed, utilitarian and collaborative principles and works closely with partner organizations in the region to deliver high quality healthcare services.
The organization was originally created to address the high prevalence of acquired and predisposed diseases in the region as well as to address other serious health problems that affect the local community.
Our Main Goal
Our goal is to support the local community to access affordable healthcare, children, youths and women through capacity building activities to achieve knowledge, skills, networks and motivation that will make them aim to have an improved acceptable living standard and gain human dignity and self-esteem.
